TECHNIQUE VIDEO
RECOGNITION CUE
Look for crossed hands controlling the opponent’s lapels with the two hands using different palm orientations.
Typical position
A controlled groundwork demonstration position. Recognition does not make the technique safe to apply; release and tapping protocols require direct instructor supervision.
Control configuration
Identify whether the configuration uses bare arms, lapels, sleeves, or legs. Do not imitate the neck pressure from an image or video.
Recognition objective
The competitive objective is a submission, but this study page only identifies the configuration. Neck pressure, release timing, and eligibility rules must be taught by an instructor.
Position to recognize
Locate the arm, leg, sleeve, or lapel configuration around the neck-and-arm line. Use body orientation and the controlled limb or clothing grip to distinguish this technique from similar groundwork.
Application boundary
Stop at visual recognition. Application, resistance, tapping, immediate release, age restrictions, and competition legality belong in supervised instruction.
Expected result
The reference outcome is recognition of a submission configuration—not permission or instruction to apply it.
